Margaret Holman Fitzgerald
My current paintings represent the exploration of allusive figures and abstract form, layering, textures with muted and saturated colors. An effort to evoke and tell stories about the reality that exists between the physical and metaphysical worlds that we are part of.
My goal as a painter is to explore spontaneity, movement and emotional expression.
I am interested in the resonance of history and the richness of color and texture as they build in depth.
My inspiration is derived from my inner life as well as the unconscious and collective life , and events that we all share.
